October 2008 | | Изпрати на приятел Send to a friend

Rebels from the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MENDA) renewed their attacks against oil installations in the Delta region. This happens after MENDA declared "oil war" against multinational companies operating in the region. The group said that the reason for the "war" is an attack on government forces by air and water against their position a day earlier. From MENDA warn oil companies to withdraw their workers or face the "hurricane of vengeance." Attacks in the Niger Delta have caused the decrease in production of raw materials to fifth by early 2006
