On June 5, 2009 marks 141 years since the birth of the great Irish poet and revolutionary James Connolly. His biography was written, rewritten and distorted by the Bolshevik historiography and selling zhurnalistcheta Irish nationalists and continues to appear in books, newspapers, magazines and websites. James Connolly was born in the suburb Koutgeyt the Scottish city of Edinburgh on 5 June 1868 in a family of poor Irish immigrants. In 1888 he left the army and returned to Edinburgh. Here, with the support of his older brother John joined the local "Socialist League". James Connolly is drawn primarily from the works of Russian folk socialist Herzen and Chernyshevsky. After returning to Ireland in 1907, together with the famous Irish Marxist trade union activist and "big" James (Jim) Larkin, organized numerous strikes and demonstrations in other Irish cities, demanding improved working conditions and lives of destitute Irish proletariat . Because of his military training and his outstanding organizational skills Connelly is set to lead the armed groups of illegal workers, which provides security and police provocateurs. There he met with anarchist and former British Army officer Captain Jack White and the revolutionary and freedom fighter Captain Ireland Frank Ryan. Together with them, working up "the Dublin public police", which in 1913 was renamed the "Irish citizen's army." After two unsuccessful attempts of the Citizens 'Army' to create autonomous free communities in different cities of Ireland at Connolly started the idea that before a worker-peasant Free Republic, Ireland must be liberated from the shackles of their English masters. On April 24, 1916 broke "Easter Uprising". The rebels captured the largest building in Dublin - Mail. James Connolly is not forgotten by the Irish people. His comrades Frank Ryan and Jack White formed a battalion of over a thousand Irish volunteers under the name "Connolly Column", who fought in support of the Spanish Revolution of 1938-39, the Today in Dublin was erected a monument that reminds the Irish workers, the fight against tyranny continues.
