On the Day of Action begins 45th day of hunger strike Thodoris. Health is critical. The last prisoner of the December riots in Greece should be released - immediately!
Thodoris Iliopoulos in prison in December and is the only one of the detainees, which was refused bail. On 9 July the Court of Appeal refused to release him on grounds that Iliopoulos is an anarchist and a threat to the state.
Friends Thodoris called on all groups to coordinate solidarity actions: propaganda, information shares meeting the immediate release of Thodoris. Federation of Anarchists in Bulgaria joined the shares of solidarity with our fellow Thodoris and circulated an open letter to the Greek Embassy and the media the following:

On July 10, 2009 in Korydallos prison in Athens comrade Thodoris Iliopoulos is an indefinite hunger strike, which today, 24 August, entering its 45 days. Health is critical and continues to deteriorate.
Iliopoulos was detained by police during the December uprising of the Greek youth and now the seventh month in jail mode to "remand". The court refused his release on bail, citing Thodoris anarchist beliefs, which constitute a 'threat to the state. " The charges against the young person is based solely on the testimony of two police special forces of the Greek police, and he categorically denied having committed the acts for which he is accused.
Federation of Anarchists in Bulgaria expresses its solidarity and support Thodoris Iliopoulos. Call the court and the Government of the Hellenic Republic to respect the principles of democracy, human rights and political freedoms.
The case of Thodoris Iliopoulos must be considered fairly and that he be released.

A group named "Tsrni Elijah" has claimed responsibility for an attack on the night of August 25 with Molotov cocktails against the building of the Greek embassy in Belgrade, the Greek news agency. A group of five youths threw two Molotov cocktails against the building of the Greek embassy in Belgrade. On the website the group states that "Belgrade anarchists" have decided to join forces with those of their comrades from Greece and around the world to organize solidarity with the shares of S. Iliopoulos for his release from prison. The attack against the Greek embassy was that purpose by Serb anarchists mentioned that they consider to continue with such actions. Ministry of Interior of Serbia condemned the attack and said it would continue the search for the perpetrators.
There was pressure from the Serbian media and accusations against anarcho-syndicalists of the ASI and in particular against Ratibor Trivunats - Rata, who was arrested two months ago to start the American flag in the center of Belgrade. From ASI said it had nothing to do with the "Tsrni Elijah" but expressed solidarity with Thodoris Iliopoulos.
Immediately after the shares of solidarity Greek authorities released Thodoris. The measure was replaced warrant a detention, which requires Iliopoulos to appear every 15 days at the police station and not leave the country.
