In this biography we want to celebrate 119 years since the birth of Jordan Nikolov called Bakunin. The text was written by George Hadjiev in his years of immigration in France.
Yordan Nikolov, called "Bakunin" is one of the first propagandists and the oldest figures of the movement before the founding of FAKB, organizer and participant in almost all groups and organizations in Sofia since 1908.
Born on 01/06/1891 in Berkovitsa, the son of a shoemaker, he otrasva in working-class family. Graduate only the second compartment, began himself to work to earn his living, first as a driver, printer, and then as a shoemaker, which occupation exercised by the end of his life.
Even without much education, he remained indifferent to the misery and from 1904-1905, began to read socialist literature. As a shoemaker member unions wing socialists and participated in many demonstrations: for an 8 hour day, protection of the Russian Revolution in 1905, many other struggles.
Seeing him with ideas bezvlastnicheskite dates from 1906 Reads second anarchist newspaper "Free Society", first issued in booklets of Reklyu, Kropotkin and Bakunin. In 1908 participated in the first anarchist group in Sofia. In this same group members more Paraskov C., P. Blaskov and others.
In this more disorganized, "chaotic" period of movement, full of "eksove" (Judah B. Bank of Israel), spoke against the emperor and other shares, Yordan Nikolov is one of the first to hold the proper guidance and organizing bezvlastnicheskite forces the initiation of organizational work.
I recently started dating century "anarchy" (1910 - 1911), and then c "Probuda" (1912). Group in Sofia is filled with new forces: Manolev M., N. Petrini, P. Kalev and others. After the Balkan war was declared the newspaper "Probuda" stops.
In 1914 the group, which includes Jordan Nikolov, M. Manolev, K. Dimev, Itso SANTOVA and others, founded the newspaper "Workers' Thought", whose treasurer is "Bakunin". The newspaper has a wide distribution and with leaving in Rousse newspaper "Liberation" provides impetus for the establishment of many new and renewed many old groups in the province in which the movement starts already obtained citizenship. But the European war started, and especially the attack at the Casino in Sofia in 1915 interrupts a group around the "Workers 'thought' and friends are scattered.
Yordan Nikolov was mobilized, but also as a soldier on the fronts, he developed intense anti-war activity which was prosecuted. After demobilization he was again in Sofia, where he participated in the renewal group. The group is member and Dr. Dimev begins again the issue of "Workers' Thought" (1919), albeit at censorship. Journals of the newspaper and attend some of illegal friends as Sheitanov D., G. Zhechev and others.
Initiative of a group about "Workers thought" to convene the first founding congress of FAKB, first published newspaper "Probuda" (federal authority), in which movement is growing and almost legalized.

During the Tsankov regime, where the movement goes underground, Yordan Nikolov is a participant in any conspiracy groups developing some activity, albeit weaker. During the block he remained indifferent to all bezvlastnicheski initiatives and endeavors. During the period of fascism Nikolov participated in the resistance movement as a companion, and concealer for a group of terrorists and remains faithful to the end of the anarchist position.
