Pavilionul 32
Interview with trays of anarchist collective in Timisoara and the group Pavilionul 32
Imagine our brief themselves and anarhokolektiva in Timisoara
Hello, my name is Tavi, I'm Romanian singer of hardcore / punk band PAVILIONUL 32. Furthermore, the label run Gluga Neagra ("Life of dark quarters") and participate in anarhokolektiva who managed social center INCA in Timisoara. In the last 3-4 years our team composed mostly of anarhopankove, organized a number of shares as Food Not Bombs, the camp "No Boundaries" anarhoprotesti, ripping posters, graffiti, film screenings, distributing leaflets, publishing journals, organizing concerts of foreign groups in Romania and Romanian groups in Europe.
We realized that the place where she has offered the festival "Without Borders" will soon be closed. What causes this and what the people of Timisoara to the punk scene?
This is a long history. The cultural center INCA in Timisoara is the only alternative out of this type throughout Romania. It is a mix between social centers in Western Europe and youth clubs in Eastern Europe. They organized meetings, actions, performances, screenings. Problems began when the municipality decided that they could give place to rent a more commercial project and earn more money from it. Then sent inspectors filed a lawsuit for breach of contract which we had with the municipality and made us leave. As for attitude, I think Timisoara is quite tolerant to town punk scene and alternative culture in general. Even some of the "intellectuals" from Timisoara have any links with the punk scene of his youth. But naturally, there are idiots who scoff at people who look different and do not match their understanding of "normal".
Tell something about the festival, "No Boundaries".
The idea of this festival was born of a conflict with the organizers of the festival "Underground" in Timisoara - the oldest punk festival in Romania. After several months working to stop groups from across Europe old organizers began to call us stupid conditions. Finally we parted, and arranged two separate festivals instead of one: "No Boundaries" and "Underground." Festival "Without Borders" has surpassed all expectations, so we continued to organize it every year.
Most festivals people come mainly for music and moshing. Do not you think that such events should be organized as a festival "Without Borders", where besides projecting the concert and movies concerning current world problems?
I think that such festivals have one major disadvantage - are paying more attention to things about the music and do not affect the issues that surround us. But as you know, many members of the hardcore / punk bands from Eastern Europe and dealing with radical activism.
